Thinking of Fall

Nothing like making plans for the future eh?? I realized the other day that I have no 5 year or 10 year plan anymore. I've lived most of my life with semi flexible plans & goals. The 1 year plan is subject to change all the time but leads into a 5 year plan that gets short term goals done in a reasonable time period while the 10 year plan is for bigger stuff. And we're not talking about knitting projects here although my Arvik sweater could probably be quietly slipped into the 10 year plan  .   .   .   . TWICE.  Maybe that's why I like socks so much - only a couple of week's commitment at the very longest. And they always fit!

I have no plans anymore. Other than the plan to empty my storage locker & knit as many socks as possible in the next year, I don't. My medical condition precludes long term planning and - depending on who you talk to -  big stash enhancement! Apparently I could have a stroke or heart attack any time if I over do - so winning the Lotto is out of the question!! The shock would kill me. My Respiratory Therapist was quite aggressive with me about following his rules if I want to live an Independent Life. Ouch! No cashmere for me, I guess.

Fall is coming. Most of my time is spent in this little house I am now occupying with the Roomie. It's well insulated but heated mostly with wood. Now, neither of us is getting any younger & I'm damaged but I love radiant heat. My lungs like radiant heat too - no dust flying everywhere. But, I'm going to NEED a house cardi to keep warm if the stove isn't cranked up. I like it a little cool but a lap blanket for my feet & knees will be a necessity. So it's time to get knitting & spinning. Looky there, I believe I made a Plan.

Knitting a lap blanket sounds like a good plan to me. I've given up making plans because politicians keep moving the goal posts.
